This year’s Top Half Folk Festival will be held at the beautiful Mary River Park, and will focus on 40 years of great music in the Top End of Australia.

Mary River Park is near the Mary River Crossing on the Arnhem Highway, 100km east of Darwin and 32km west of Kakadu National Park. To reserve a cabin phone (08) 8978 8877. For more information about the venue, please visit http://www.maryriverpark.com.au.

Over the past 40 years we all have many memories of the Top Half Folk Festivals (and if you haven’t you better get to this one). This year we are encouraging all who have been a part of the festivals to reform your bands and come back to show us some of the old and some of the new.

The THFF is a low budget festival and we cannot support many artists, but we do have a small amount of funding to assist needy artists to attend this year with a focus on getting as many past artists as possible to return. We invite you to fill out the ‘Expression of interest’ form, that will give us an indication of who can attend this year’s celebrations, what you would like to offer the festival and what funding assistance you will require. Please get your expression of interest back to us by 30th March to be considered for funding assistance.

For those who have never been to Mary River Park, It is situated on the Arnhem Highway approximately 1 hour from Darwin. Our host at Mary River Park is Lynn Frost and the park has 26 cabins, a limited number of powered sites and unlimited unpowered sites on beautiful grassed areas. Meals will be available at the venue throughout the weekend or if you are camping you can cook your own. If you want to book a cabin or a powered site we recommend you book early as cabins are already being booked for the festival.

Keep an eye on our website for festival updates:
